RIS Newsletter - November 13, 2017

Greetings from Rockdale Intermediate School!
We honored our Veteran's last Thursday as RIS took part in the RISD Veteran's Day program at RHS. Our students were very respectful and performed beautifully for our Veterans. I could not have been more proud of our students. Please visit the RIS Facebook page to enjoy photos and videos from the event.

UIL - Students continue to practice and prepare for our UIL competition which will be held at RIS on December 5th. They are working hard and we look forward to seeing them compete. Thank your for your help as they prepare.

On Wednesday we will hold our second EAFK ceremony. Students were chosen who best exemplified the character trait of responsibility. Parents were notified last week if their child was chosen to be honored. Just a reminder that students who are chosen do not know until their accolade is read on stage by their teacher. Please help us make this an exciting time for your child by not sharing the surprise.

We look forward to a great week at RIS!

Kathy Pelzel, Principal
